Judge Karen Austin - BAPC Judge Karen Austin is a free-lance photographer in Clinton, Iowa. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Art from Western Illinois University, and an Associates degree in Applied Sciences from Clinton Community College. She has completed a comprehensive course in Advanced Professional Photography from Mid-America Institute of Professional Photography (MAIPP). Among her honors she was a finalist, out of 28,000 U.S. and Canadian student photographers, in the 26th Photographer's Forum Magazine College Photography Contest, sponsored by Nikon. She also earned a Gold at the Quad Cities Advertising Federation 2006 Addy Awards. One of Karen's most favorite places to shoot is Jamaica. She says she believes "there is beauty and interest everywhere - even in very unexpected places." She has been invited to judge at Art in the Park in Clinton in 2008.
