Our History The Bickelhaupt Arboretum was a gift to the public in 1970 by Bob and Frances Bickelhaupt. The area surrounding their home has been made an outdoor museum for all to enjoy. Black and white photographs from 1970-71 have been preserved showing the sparse beginnings of what has become one of the finest privately-owned museums of select, labeled trees, shrubs, ground covers, perennials, and annual flowers.
