Storm Damages Arboretum

At approximately 1:30 PM on July 19, 2006, a major thunderstorm with massive straight-line winds swept through Clinton. Many areas in the community suffered tree and building damage. The Bickelhaupt Arboretum, while sustaining some damage, was fortunate to have damage limited to a couple trees.

The following day volunteers helped arboretum staff rake leaves and twigs and gather limbs from fallen trees in different areas of the arboretum. Many hours of work by staff members as well as volunteers makes the arboretum one of Clinton's beautiful attractions.

Presented below are photographs taken at the arboretum on July 20, 2006.
