Monthly we invite our Board of Directors Members and our ROOTS Advisory Board Members to write about the features of a plant of their choice. As with all the plants found on the grounds of the Bickelhaupt Arboretum, this will be a plant which is hardy to our zone, disease resistant and requires minimal maintenance. Many times it is a favorite plant of the writer or one with year round interest. The Arboretum has a Plant Collections Policy which provides guidelines for the acquisition, maintenance, evaluation, deaccessioning and access to the collections. This policy is administered by the staff and curators.
