At one time, before the settlers arrived with plows, the majority of Iowa's land was tall grass prairie. Come walk the path through the prairie and see the plants that formerly grew in this region. You will see the following grasses: Big Bluestem, Little Bluestem and Indian Switchgrass. Some of the flowering plants include Rattlesnake Master, Compass Plant, Coneflowers, and Asters.
